The Surgery

The surgery has been located in Oakvale Drive, right next to Limerick University Regional Hospital, for the last 20 years. The practice cares for all types of animals, 90% of which are small animals.

Veterinary Surgeon:

Adrian qualified as a vet in University College Dublin in 1980. He worked as an assistant in veterinary practices in Glin Co. Limerick and Mountmellick Co.Laois.

Adrian returned to Dooradoyle, Limerick in the late 1980’s where he has led his own practice since. Adrian has an interest in canine sports medicine. He just completed a post graduate course on canine sports medicine in UCD and was awarded his certificate in canine sports medicine in June, after completing a one year course.

Adrian also has farming interests in his native Askeaton, Co.Limerick. Adrian is married to Mary, a teacher in the Regional Hospital and they have 3 sons and live locally in Raheen with their Cavalier King Charles Molly.


Assistant and Practice Manager:

Stephanie has been with the practice almost from the beginning. She has a wealth of experience in dealing with sick pets and their owners. Stephanie is usually the first person encountered when one consults the practice and is renowned for her kindness and efficiency. She has done several courses in her time and has a great rapport with the owners and their pets.


Veterinary Surgeon:

Adrian Junior graduated as veterinary surgeon from UCD in 2017. He came home in 2019 to join his father and Stephanie in the practice in Dooradoyle. Adrian has a keen interest in small animal internal medicine. Adrian firstly worked in mixed practice in Clones, Co. Monaghan. He then made the change to small animal practice and moved to Dublin to work in a busy small animal hospital. He gained valuable experience there and hopes to continue building on this into the future in Limerick.
